This is the outside of the sewing pouch I worked on Wednesday night. It doesn't look much like a pouch just yet. In fact, it might just stay a large flat circle if I can't get the casing adjusted. The pattern called for home decorating fabrics, cotton, or cotton blends. The green fabric is a heavier home decorating fabric. In fact, it is too heavy for the casing size. Which means, I need a larger casing and larger drawstring to actually make it a pouch. I am thinking I need to make it twice the size and use much heavier cording. Lesson learned.
