Bracing for Ivan
Schools were shut down on Monday before we knew exactly where landfall would occur because most of our schools are used for shelters.

We have a large generator which should run the entire household but it supposedly uses a gallon of gas an hour. Gulf Power has warned that if Ivan hits the Gulf Coast at a Category 4, we are expected to be without power for three weeks.

We have stocked up on batteries, canned goods, and water. Of course, we bought some magazines and a puzzle, as well.

Some good news is that I did manage to go take the three hour Glucose Tolerance Test and we had our second ultrasound yesterday. The baby now weighs 3 pounds 11 ounces according to the technicians measurements.
