Joy!

Look who's come to our house for a visit. Since this is our first year with our Elf on the Shelf, we were supposed to name him. Owen named him "Joy the Elf." Jack doesn't quite get the concept this year, but Owen is really interested in the fact that Joy flies back with his report every night to Santa.

The first day Joy started out on the fireplace mantle and the next morning he was on the top of the mirror. Owen was amazed that he really flew. I think he was skeptical. ;)

Edited to Add: My sister purchased "Joy" from Hallmark for the boys. The official Elf on the Shelf site sells them, too. You can also find them here or here. There is an Elf on the Shelf Christmas Activity Book with CD, that I'm going to get the boys, as well.

He promises to be good, at least until he forgets.
