Quilting Homework

Our quilting homework was to create a simple 9 patch with 2 1/2 inch strips. The idea is that the nine patch should measure six inches across without the seam allowances. Mine does. Believe me, I measured it...twice.

We were supposed to complete this in class but we were too busy talking so it was decided it would be homework. Teachers make the worst students. These are just two fabrics I chose out of the scrap/trash bin at the quilt shop. I think they go pretty well together.

This nine patch has absolutely nothing to do with my quilt project this class. I'm in the Christmas mood. It has been fun shopping for Christmas fabrics. I am still looking for a couple more and hope the teacher can help out tomorrow.
